Unlike Veena Malik, Sunny will be seen in a special role - more of a solo dance - and as a second heroine in a movie titled 'Prem Adda'. The latest announcement from the Kannada film industry (also known as Sandalwood) came just a day after Pakistani actor Veena Malik made her presence felt in Bangalore for the launch of her debut Kannada movie - 'Dirty Picture'.
Confirming Sunny's participation in the Kannada movie, 'Prem Adda', director Mahesh Babu claimed that the actor was yet to allocate dates for the movie. "That Sunny is performing a special dance and role in my film is confirmed. We will commence the shooting only after she gives us the dates," he added.
The movie features Prem, a well-known Kannada film director in the lead role. This is his second film as the lead actor. Prem has directed several blockbusters in Kannada, such as 'Jogi' and 'Kariya', which have been remade in other languages in South India. He is married to multilingual actor Rakshita.
Prem has been instrumental in getting some of the hot Bollywood female actors to dance in his directorial movies. For instance, in 'Jogi', Czech model and actor Yana Gupta performed an item number, which is still popular. In Prem's debut movie as the lead actor, 'Preethi Yeke Bhoomi Melide' Mallika Sherwat danced to a disco number.
Obviously, Prem is excited about Sunny Leone performing an item number in his second movie as hero. "I believe she is busy with her shooting schedule and advertisements. She has promised to allot the dates for my movie. 'Prem Adda' will rock...It is a completely different movie. By the way, Sunny's role is as important as that of the heroine. I can say that there are two female leads in this movie," he contended.
Multilingual actor from south, Kriti Kharbanda, is playing the role of the other female lead in 'Prem Adda'. The shooting for the movie is almost complete.
The Kannada film industry has a limited market when compared with the neighbouring Telugu and Tamil movies. But that did not stop the Kannada film-makers from convincing Veena Malik and Sunny Leone to debut in south films through Kannada movies.
